Animal welfare in the zootherapeutic process
Hillová, Nikol ; Kocian, Matúš (advisor) ; Prokeš, Josef (referee)
This thesis is from the field of applied ethics. The aim of this thesis is to explain problematics of animal presence in the zootherapeutic process. This type of therapy doesn't have a legislative basis in the Czech Republic. There aren't uniform conditions and provisions that must be followed during do animal assisted therapy. This situation causes problems for zootherapists, animals and other therapy participants. An animal that assists in the zootherapeutic process has no special rights in the Czech Republic, even though it is more burdened than an animal in normal breeding. This thesis aims to familiarize the reader with this issue, to map the conditions for animals in the zootherapy process, and to present possible proposals for measures that could improve and clarify the conditions of the presence of animals in the zootherapy process in the Czech Republic.
